Winters are an idyllic time for some healthy green vegetables. In case you are not a fan of green veggies, certain recepies can make you drool despitetheir grim appearance. Also if you like to garnish your dish, you are more than welcome to do so, to make the dish look more delectable.
Palak saag or the spinach gravy, is a healthy way to fill up your tummy. Try this recipe to cook some delicious and healthy meal for your family.
Cut the roots from leaves of Palak and Methi and wash them thoroughly 2 - 3 times. Now cut the leaves into pieces and steam cook (one pressure in pressure cooker). Keep the pressure cooker aside and let it cool completely. Once it is cool, Grind it into a puree.
Make a paste of ginger garlic. Now heat Mustard Oil in a frying pan, add cumin seeds and let them popup. Now add Ginger garlic paste, chopped onion and green chilies. Fry it till the paste changes color to brown. Add turmeric and asofeitda.
Now add the puree of palak and methi and stir. Add salt as per the taste and let it come to boil.
Garnish with butter/ghee and serve it with corn flour chapati (makke ki roti).Add butter on top of paratha and served it hot with Pickle and tea. It can be served with raita/ curd as well.
