Remember the Action Jackson actress Manasvi Mamgai? News is that the former Miss India is all set to perform at President elect Donald Trump’s inaugural ceremony in the US. Manasvi will apparently lead the dance troupe at the function that will be held at West Lawn of the US Capitol from 9.30 am (US time) on Thursday (Jan 19).
Reportedly, the performance is being choreographed by Nalasopara based (outskirts of Mumbai) boy Suresh Mukund, along with his assistant Karthik Priyadarshan. As per news sources, it will be a seven minute medley of Indian classical and Bollywood dance and Suresh is taking utmost care to ensure that the Indian American performers match their steps to Bollywood beat.
Interestingly, Suresh is the one on whom Varun Dhawan's character in the ABCD sequel was modeled. While talking to a publication he informs that Varun did call him and wish him luck before he flew out to the US to work on the performance.
Shedding more light on his act, he has been quoted saying, “We will begin with AR Rahman's Jai Ho, followed by Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif's Kala Chashma from Baar Baar Dekho, Panjabi MC's Mundian Tu Bach Ke and Salman Khan's Jumme Ki Raat from Kick. There's also a South Indian track as the idea is to highlight Indian culture. We have just three days in hand but the dancers are good and the craze for Bollywood songs here is a great boost.”
Mukund who started his journey in a chawl in Nalasopara, went on to win the bronze medal at The World Hip Hop championship in 2015.
