Happy Birthday Rishi Kapoor: Journey of a veteran lover boy

Bollywood’s veteran Rishi Kapoor has turned 62 today. The lover boy of seventies has transformed himself with time as a go-to character actor. The evergreen star has enjoyed a very high reputation in Bollywood.
Rishi was born in 1952 to film director/actor Raj Kapoor and his wife Krishna Kapoor. His debut act was in Mera Naam Joker. However his first film as a male lead was ‘Bobby’ where he was paired with actress Dimple Kapadia. The film went on to become a super hit at the Box Office.
Over the period of years, the actor has starred in many hit films like Karz, Prem Rog, Saagar, Chandni, Amar Akbar Anthony, Henna, Bol Radha Bol, Deewana, Hum Tum, Fanaa, Namaste London, Love Aaj Kal and Housefull 2.
After romancing the top-notch heroines on screen, Rishi has now been experimenting with different genres. The actor was highly appreciated for his role as Rauf Laala in Agneepath.
Rishi also received the National Film Award in 1971 for his debut role in Mera Naam Joker as a child artist and Filmfare Best Actor Award for Bobby in 1974. He also received the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008 among other awards as well.
Rishi married actress Neetu Singh in 1980. The couple has two children, actor Ranbir Kapoor and daughter Ridhima Kapoor Sahni.
