This decision is an offshoot of Madras High Court’s orders. The Madras High Court had said it will take the final decision on film’s release on January 28. On Wednesday night, the Tamil Nadu government had imposed a ban on its release for two weeks after Muslim organisations raised objections to certain sequences.
“In the view of Id-e-Milad on Friday and Republic Day on Saturday, I don’t want to take any chances,” H.D. Gangaraju, the distributor of the film for Karnataka, has been quoted as saying by a leading daily.
