Famous for her pout, the half-Asian model turned actor, Nargis Fakhri lost out on a dream role opposite Akshay Kumar, because of apparent changes she couldn’t control. It was meant to be her next big film after Rockstar, Akshay’s home production Khiladi 786 which goes on the floors next month is now left without a lead actress, after Nargis' ouster. The filmmakers roped in Mithun Chakraborty after Amitabh Bachchan pulled out because of health and date problems. The makers realised that the model-actor would never fit in as Mithun Da’s sister and hence, Nargis was asked to leave.
According to a source, Nargis was signed by producer Himesh Reshammiya and Akshay Kumar to play Amitabh’s sister in the film. However after Bachchan pulled out, Akshay roped in Mithun to portray the role of gangster Tatya Tukaram Tendulkar. Apparently, Akshay was not willing to compromise on the role of the gangster, and after the success of Housefull 2 and the relationship he shares with Mithun Da, made him keen to have him on board.
However, it is being reported that there are no hard feelings between the producers and Nargis and also, the producers have decided to keep their options open for future projects that may bring them together.
