While shooting a scene for his forthcoming film ‘Jayantabhai Ki Luv Story’, Vivek Oberoi, who was carrying his heroine Neha Sharma on his back let her fall deliberately. Neha, who was caught totally unawares, was shocked and embarrassed.
“She thought Vivek had dropped her unintentionally,” says a source.
However, the director Vinnil Markan was pleased with her reaction.
Vinnil and Vivek had planned the entire thing. It was pre-decided that Vivek will drop her as that was the requirement of the scene. They however, did not inform Neha because they wanted it to look convincing. Says Vinnil, “We wanted the scene to look as authentic as possible and decided to not tell Neha about it. Vivek went ahead and dropped her and her shocked expression worked well for the scene.” And when Neha learned about it later, she took it sportingly, adds the source.
The scene has apparently been inspired from a similar technique used in ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’, wherein Shah Rukh Khan drops Kajol in the song ‘Ruk ja o dil deewane’.
Produced by Kumar Taurani, ‘Jayantabhai Ki Luv Story’ is about a loveable gangster played by Vivek and his tale of romance. It is slated to release next month.
