Varsha Bhosle, the 50-year-old daughter of legendary singer Asha Bhosle, who committed suicide on Monday, after a supposed bout of depression, was a journalist cum singer.

-Varsha completed her schooling from Hill Grange High School, on Pedder Road, Mumbai, in 1974.
-She did playback for some Hindi as well as Marathi movies. And, besides that she also appeared in a few concerts alongside her mother.
-Varsha lived in Mumbai with her mother Asha Bhosle.
-According to Wikipedia, Varsha wrote columns for the Indian web portal, Rediff, during 1997 - 2003; columns for The Sunday Observer during 1994 - 1998; and for Gentleman magazine in 1993. She also wrote a little for the Times of India and for Rakshak - The Protector police magazine.
-Varsha was divorced from freelance sports writer, Hemant Kenkre.
-She had apparently attempted suicide twice in the past, in the years 2008 and 2010.
-Varsha was said to be undergoing psychiatric treatment in Mumbai.
-The gun she shot herself with, was a licensed one and belonged to the Mangeshkar family.
