For the finale, Gaultier displayed a full-skirted embroidered wedding dress perfect for the dramatic structure of any Bollywood extravaganza.

The model dressed in a wedding dress wore a skirt, the circumference of which was so large that hen the bride lifted her hem an array of young children scampered out from underneath and ran off down the catwalk.

The French designer displayed one shoulder sari-styles, scarves, silk salwar pants and looks including an orange patchwork halter neck dress worn with a flowing pink shawl and a selection of swirling multi-tiered skirts.

Held at Gaultier's grand Rue Saint Martin headquarters, the set included patch-worked orange, yellow and red lights.
