Whether Apple and Apple fans agree or not, the Cupertino giant fears the awesome camera and camera features of the newly launched Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One. Apple has just released a TV ad showing the iPhone 5 camera features.
Recently HTC has released its Android metallic body phone HTC One, which sports a revolutionary ultrapixel camera that offers very good low-light photography. The newly launched Samsung Galaxy S4 features a 13-megapixel camera which is great for day light shooting, giving pictures an even exposure. Also this camera comes with features like drama shot and dual camera use and sound and shoot.
The iPhone 5 on the contrary has an 8 megapixel camera. With this new TV ad Apple tries to say that one can capture more images and catch them easily and even edit them with the iPhone 5 camera.
In a comparison of camera’s of the three devices, Cnet found that Galaxy S4 gave more accurate colours with an even exposure. HTC One over-exposed the shot and the iPhone under-exposed the shot. The overall verdict titled towards the Galaxy S4. Digitaltrends also called the Galaxy S4 camera app as “one of the most extensive” they have ever used on a phone.
What is interesting is that the three phones are placed at almost similar price points, iPhone 5 being the costliest. The Galaxy S4 in India comes at Rs 41500, HTC One is at Rs 42900 and the iPhone 5 is at Rs 43500. To the disappointment of Apple, the recently launched Sony Xperia Z which is available below Rs 40000 price tag sports a 13-megapixel Exmor RS sensor for better pictures. Nokia is already rumoured to be launching a 41-megapixel camera phone this year.
The iPhone 5 sports a scratch-resistant sapphire glass lens 8-megapixel iSight camera (which also left purple haze at the corners of pictures when used under a particular lighting conditions). Read more here.
Apple surely is in a tough competition and need to come to the market with better products and need to make it faster. Its’ competitors have better devices and features to offer.
