The new Microsoft surface tablet with the Windows 8 Pro will be available in January next year.
According to the website of the Redmond Company, the 10.6 inches ClearType full HD display screen tablet will become available in January. The cost of the tablet will be $899 (about Rs 49000). The 128 GB version will cost $900.
This tablet will come in two storage options of 64 GB and 128 GB, and is expected to receive inputs from Pen. For a faster performance the tablet will have a 3rd Gen Intel Core i5 Processor with Intel HD Graphics 4000 and 4GB dual channel RAM.
The cost will be more than what the website shows. TheRegister calculates “neither of the Windows 8 Pro models will include a cover, so if you want a keyboard you'll need to fork over an additional $120, bringing the total to $1,019 for the 64GB version”.
“A quick look at the specs tells you it's pretty close to an ultrabook -- and really thin ultrabooks, not unlike the Surface Pro's design, don't get all-day battery life like tablets do” says Cnet about this tablet. The price is however “too much” says the report. You need to remember that it was going to be priced at a higher price point according to an announcement from Microsoft like an ultrabook.
As per a news in the BusinessInsider yesterday “But at these prices, you might as well buy a laptop. The Surface isn't that great. And its screen is 10.6-inches. So, you're getting a tiny computer by a company making its first computer at a high price.:
