Simmtronics has launched India’s first low cost quad-core processor based tablet in the market. What is interesting about this tablet is this Android Jelly Bean powered tablet is “Made in India”.

The XPad Mini joins the XPad range of tablets from the company. It runs on a Quad-Core 1 GHz processor where each of the core is clocked at a speed of 1 GHz. This tablet sporting a metallic finish for a premium look has a 7.85 inch IPS display screen, and has got a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and can play full HD videos.

In Indian smartphoe devices market we have sucessfully transformed from dua-core phones to quad-core processing speeds. But in tablets segment we are yet to make a good move from dual-core to quad-core segment. With the launch of XPad Mini Simmtronics brings the quad-core tablet to a new low. Its earlier gaming quad-core tablet was Rs 13999 in the market and the latest Mini brings the price down to below 10K, and challenges others to race with it.

Samsung started the transition from 4-cores to 8-core phones with its Exynos 5 Octa based Galaxy S4 this year, but the 8-core power is yet to go low on prices and we await low cost 8-core phones this year.
