Asus might be bringing a new and cheaper version of the Google Nexus 7 in the tablet market.
This new tablet which is just surfaced is the Asus ME172V and runs the latest Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean operating system. This tablet seems to have hardware inferior to the Nexus 7. The tablet comes with a 1 GHz processor and a Mali 400 graphics processing unit. The display is 1024 by 600 pixels as compared to the Nexus 7’s 1280 by 800 pixels.
The contradiction is in the microSD card since the Google Nexus 7 does not have a card slot. This can’t be the upcoming Nexus 7, which also comes from ASUS. Earlier Digitimes suggested that Google might be releasing a $99 7 inch Nexus tablet in the market, which will not be in association with the AUS. Experts speculate that this device from ASUS could be a low cost alternative to the Google Nexus 7.
