WishTel set to compete with Aakash 2

WishTel is all set to revolutionize the education industry with a new Linux-based Tablet PrithV, and in the process challenges DataWind's Aakash 2.
The Mumbai based technology and Electronic Manufacturing Company WishTel has already announced the launch of Worlds cheapest Linux based PC “PrithV”, designed and manufactured in India and priced at $50.
According to a press release issued by the company PrithV educational Platform will be offered on tablets and net book PC supporting 85 Global languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Arabic, Urdu, Zulu and 23 Indian languages.
To help children the 7 inch PrithV tablet powered with the platform will come equipped with Educational Suite to offer Self Learning software’s for Pre-Primary, Tertiary, Higher Education for Languages, Science: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Astronomy, Geography, Math: Algebra, Calculus, Geometry, Medicine, Computing etc. This free and open source platform will offer access to library of over 3 million books, encyclopaedia, class room videos, virtual lab for Science, Math, and Geography.
PrithV has been developed in Association with Gnowledge lab, Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education under guidance of Prof Nagarjuna.
The Akash2 tablet with the Android Ice cream sandwich operating system on it has been unvieled by the government as the tablet for education of children, where the tablet will be provided at a subsidized price. The tablet comes to market as a commercial piece at more Rs 3499 for the lowest priced variant Ubislate 7+. At a price of $50 WishTel's 7 inch PrithV based tablet sports some specifications similar to the Aakash 2 tablet. For instance, it has 800GHz or 1GHz processor and Wi-Fi support. The PrithV tablet offers 3G connectivity and access to a huge variety of educational material which is an added advantage. And with this the tablet will surely give a tough competition to Aakash 2 in the commercial market.
