Ahmedabad: With four judicial officials being promoted as additional judges of the high court, the Gujarat High Court got four more judges on Monday.
The newly appointed four judges are SG Shah, GR Udhwani, RD Kothari and SH Vora. Notably, with the elevation of these four officers, the Gujarat High Court's strength has now raised to 31. Meanwhile, the total sanctioned strength remains at 42.
It was reported that Chief Justice Bhaskar Bhattacharya administered the oath of office to the four newly elevated officers in a ceremony in the high court's committee room on Monday.
Notably, Justice Vora was also appointed as a special judge to preside over the trial of the post-Godhra Naroda Gam case.
