Ahmedabad: Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) on Tuesday declared the result of class XII science stream for the old syllabus and for the third semester of the new syllabus. The exam was conducted in October.
Board officials said preparations are going on to declare result of semester one of class XII science stream (class XI result).
As per information shared by the officials, the pass percentage of students who appeared for the old syllabus exam is 35.39% as 4,870 students passed from 13,761 who appeared for the exam. The communique from the board states that 14,569 students had registered for the exam.
In the third semester of class XII science exam, of the 1,14,729 registered students 1,14,605 remained present. Of the 78,891 students who appeared in group A, 371 have secured grade A1(the highest grade) and of the 35,647 students who appeared in group B, 177 students have secured grade A1. Of the 67 students who appeared in group AB, 3 students have secured grade A1.
As per the new system implemented by the board, results would be declared only at the end of the fourth semester. Students who managed to get cumulative 33% marks in all four semesters or grade D will be declared pass.
According to the report shared by GSHSEB, of the 9,729 students who appeared in Ahmedabad city, 94have secured grade A1 and 950 have secured grade A2. Of the 5,678 students who appeared for the exam in Ahmedabad rural, 36 students have received grade A1 and 431 students have secured grade A2.
