Ahmedabad: The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is going to release this week its manifesto and the list of candidates for the first phase of assembly polls to be held on December 13.
Initial announcement will cover those segment where there is no dispute regarding the candidature.
Party has already heard its observers regarding the claims made by ticket aspirants. First phase of polling will cover 87 assembly constituencies while the rest 85 will go to poll on December 17.
There are many seats in which the party has been forced to do a rethink due to the changed caste equations post delimitation. Though they may not admit it, the ruling party is also taking into account Keshubhai Patel factor before zeroing in on the likely candidates.
Sources in the BJP said that party will declare most of uncontroversial and uncontested seats in next week. It is expected that party will declare name of the candidates at few disputed seats on last day of nomination on November 24. The same pattern will be adopted in the second phase also.
The party has yet to release its manifesto. The process to prepare the manifesto has already been completed and it is also likely to be announced this week.
