Ahmedabad: Gujarat will be a hot cauldron of all political flavours on December 9, the last Sunday before the state goes for the first phase of the assembly elections in 87 seats on December 13.
While the arch rivals, Congress and BJP, have roped in their top brass to conduct maximum campaigning throughout the state, there isn’t much happening in case of the perceived ‘third front’ with Keshubhai Patel going it alone in Amreli and BSP chief Mayawati to address a lone meeting in Surat. For Congress, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will address a rally while chief minister Narendra Modi will address eight rallies and former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje will also be here for BJP.
Who will speak where:
Modi: Jivraj Park, Dahod, Panchamahal, Vadodara, Bharuch, Narmada, Valsad and Surat (eight rallies)
Narhari Amin: Kutiyana and Manavadar and Porbandar city
Vasundhara Raje: Saijpur Bogha, Gheekanta and Behrampura
Purushottam Rupala: Five rallies in South Gujarat
Gujarati film actor Firoz Irani: Five rallies in Rajkot
