Ahmedabad: A day after Shweta Bhatt revealed that her husband won't campign for her in the Gujarat assembly election, Sanjiv Bhatt was seen posting Tweets in clear reference to the upcoming assembly elections.
On Sunday, the suspended IPS officer wrote tweet in support for his wife and accompanied the tweet with her debate with a NDTV news channel.
"You cannot choose your battlefield, God does that for you; But you can plant a flag Where a flag never flew," Sanjiv wrote on @sanjivbhatt.
Shweta, who will contest against Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi from the Maninagar constituency on Congress ticket, had insisted that she does not require the support of her husband.
"He is not required to campaign for me. I have his support and that is more than enough for me," Shweta replied to a question on whether Sanjiv Bhatt will campaign for her.
A confrontation has been brewing between Sanjiv Bhatt and Modi ever since Bhatt alleged the Chief Minister’s role in 2002 riots.
