Now living to 100 is very much possible for men. All you have to do is-- get your testicles removed!
A new study (which will bring absolutely no comfort to people who like having testicles), on eunuchs in Korea's royal court has found that men without testicles live longer.
The study was published in the journal of Current Biology.
It is a known fact that women tend to live longer than men which has been blamed on the lack of testosterones in women. The explanation being that testosterone weakens the immune system and increases the risks of heart diseases.
The study focused on the Korean Eunuchs (sans testicles), it was found that they survived their contemporaries by 14-19 years. The results suggested that testosterones shorten the male lifespan.
But the evidence of the theory is limited as strong counter evidence also exists, for animals.
