Audi TT 2.0 TSFi

New Delhi: Audi India has now driven in the TT 2.0 TSFi coupe in the country, which is just as stylish as most of its racing pedigree cars are but hopefully it sports a comparitively affordable price tag of Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). Though this price tag is cheaper by around Rs 15 lakh than the next sports coupe, but the slick designing and features make up for most deficits. Here is our perspective on what the car provides and what remains to be the primary USPs.

    The Interior setting

The seats are low slung like most of the racing vehicles of its kind, which is in essence a classic design, but the dash board is real sport and sleek with the black upholstery with red inserts give it the sporty look all around. There are triple air condition vents, placed alonsdie with round dials for the various metres in the car giving it a fairly aesthetic eye appeal. But the major dampener in this case is the entertainment system which is still red-dot matrix display, one of the oldest from Audi, thus looking out-of-place in this modern racer.

    The engine

The engine by and large is known to be a responsive one, with 2.0-litre capacity, 4-cylinder, 1984cc, direct injection design driven by petrol. It generates 208 HP of power at 4300-6000 rpm, which one might think of being on the slightly lower end, but the driving experience is still breezy and powerful. This comes mixed with the 6-speed automatic transmission which matches well during the power demanding higher speed cruises.

    Drive quality and numbers

The drive quality is not such a plus point for Indian conditions, as the roads in the country are rather rough, with a generous share of pot holes. The stiff suspension sometimes hurts the ride quality, and could be a problem for general conditions, but on decent long drives, it stands up to the Audi reputation real well. The numbers and features are summed up as follows:
