Stated to reach Maserati showrooms by June this year, the Quattroporte will be challenging the luxury segment otherwise dominated by German offerings. Under the hood, this sedan has been given a 3.0-litre V6 twin turbo engine, which gives out 404 HP of power output. To reach from 0 to 100 kmph, it estimated to take around 4.9-seconds with a top speed of 285 kmph. However there is a V8 version of the engine as well, which is a 523 HP 3.8-litre machine taking the same 4.9 seconds to reach from 0 to 100 kmph. The top speed for this one is pegged at 307 kmph.

In terms of the interiors, there are options for 4 or 5-seater configurations. Additions will also include the wi-fi, 8.4-inch touchscreen panel control system along with 15-speaker 1,280 Watt Bowers and Wilkins audio system. The decoration and fabrication have been looked into with great care. High quality veneered wood and leather fabrication is what is seen interplayed everywhere, and the look has been kept as sophisticated and simple. True to the image of the car.

Some of the security features this car boasts of include the airbags, traction control, height adjustable safety belts, Bi-xenon headlamps, directionally adaptive headlights, illuminated entry, theft detterent alarm system, and tyre pressure guage in case it gets too low. For the time being however, fans of the brand will have to wait for the sedan to land up in India, but with a heavy price tag. Hope Fiat looks Asia wise soon to reach its target sales figures of 50,000 in 2 years.
