New Delhi: Is Nissan readying a low-cost variant of Micra? According to a report by Autocar India, a modified version of the car was spotted being test driven on the outskirts of Chennai. The report also said the car will be launched sometime in March 2013.
The updated Micra could get a new tail-lamp cluster but the rear bumper and wheel cap designs will most likely remain changed, the report said.
The new variant will be priced around Rs 70,000 less than the current Micra which is priced at Rs 4,23,765 for the base petrol and Rs 5.98 lakh for the base diesel variant (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The cheaper variant is expected to take on rivals such as i10 and Brio.
