Kaurav brother who lived to ruled

The war of Kurukshetra is regarded as the biggest event in Mahabharata. You would have read plenty of stories about Pandavas vs Kauravas. But today, let me tell you that all the Kauravas were not bad and against dharma. This is the lesser known story of a Kaurav brother who switched to the right side, just before the devastating battle to rule Indraprastha began.

Yuyutsu was the son of the blind king Dhritrashtra. His mother was not Gandhari, but Sugandha, a vaishya woman. She came into picture when Dhrithrashtra was in fear that Gandhari may not give him any children.

He was born on the same day as Duruyodhan, but a few hours later. Thus, he was younger to Duryodhana, but elder to the 98 other siblings. Together, they made 100 Karuravas.

This is how Pandavas treated him after the war got over...

The situation and character of Yuyutsu can be compared to that of Vibhishina in Ramayana. He defected to the Pandavas right before the Kurukshetra war, and provided vital information of Kaurava's stratergies to them.
This is also the reason why, some people call him the 'Kingslayer.'
