Hidden down an overgrown road, in a village not far from Bangkok, Thailand, lies a unique museum unlike any other in the world. The figures & scenes displayed here would churn your intestines, well, literally.
It is known to many as the ‘Thailand Hell Horror Park’ and is built adjacent to a local Buddhist temple. Called the Wang Saen Suk Hell Garden, it brings to life the Buddhist teachings about the torments of the underworld & the ghost (preta) realm in a series of gruesome life-size statue depictions.
The sculptures of men, women and animals in the park depict the horror of the concept of hell or nark. A look at these pictures will tell you what a sinner can face before making a transition to another life after death.
