Some of us pray every day hence inadvertently make grave mistakes that can destroy our good luck to bring dark days in our lives.
 
Written in ancient scriptures are the set guidelines to pray, which are when followed bring wealth and prosperity in the house of the man offering the prayer to the Gods.
 
Here are 11 things to keep in mind to not spoil your luck while offering prayer:
 
1) Tulsi leaves are never considered stale. You can wash them and offer them to the God while praying.
 
2) The leaves of bilva tree are also not considered impure. Once offered, these leaves can be washed and again put on the shivling. Bear in mind, the bilva leaves should not be torn.

3) If you’re lighting the diya with desi ghee (clarified butter) use only white colour cotton. If you’re using any oil for the deepak a red wick brings luck.
 
4) While praying, a diay should only be lit in front of the Gods idols or images, not anywhere else.
