Mumbai: NCP supremo and Union Minister of Agriculture Sharad Pawar’s chopper on Sunday made an emergency landing in Beed district of Maharashtra.
Initial reports suggest the minister’s helicopter had to be forcibly landed in the wake of bad weather.
Pawar’s chopper made an emergency landing at 3:10pm at the SRT Medical College ground in Ambejogai, while he was on his way for a political meet.
"Pawar was going from Osmanabad in the helicopter to Parbhani for a political meeting. But his chopper had to make an emergency landing on SRT Medical College ground at Ambejogai in Beed district due to bad weather," a police official said.
