Mumbai:Latest reports say that the case has been handed over to the crime branch in Mumbai. The crime branch has reportedly seized the agreement papers of the building that collapsed on Thusday killing at least 72 people and leaving 62 injured.
Police is on look out for the builder Malik Mohammad Ilyas.
Rescue workers used cranes and bulldozers to search through the wreck of twisted steel and debris after the seven-storey building collapsed "like a pack of cards" on Thursday evening, officials and witnesses said.
A woman survivor, on Saturday was found lying under the debris after workers heard her voice and used cameras to pinpoint her location under the rubble. A 10-month old infant was also pulled out from the debris on Friday.
There were reportedly seven partners involved in the construction of this building, including Ilyas. A case has been registered against builders Salil and Khalil Jamadar under Sec 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of IPC but no arrests have been made so far in the case, police control room said.
