Pune: Officials of Pune Police recovered the body of 28-year-old Chintan Buch, one of the advertising professionals who mysteriously went missing on their way to Goa for vacation. Buch’s corpse was discovered after a four-day hunt in four districts of Maharashtra including Satara and Kolhapur. His body was found in the Nira River. The other three are yet to be traced.
"After combing the area, today we recovered the body of Chintan Buch from Neera river near Sarola village," police inspector Shrikant Navle said, adding that they are searching for the other three missing persons.
According to India Today: The four friends were last traced past 2.30 am on Saturday morning, just after they had crossed the Khed-Shivapur toll plaza, a little outside Pune city. On Friday night, the four advertising professionals - Pranav Lele, 29, Buch, 28, Sahil Quershi, 28 and Shrutika Chandwani, 27, set out reportedly on their way to Goa via Kolhapur. Their car, a silver coloured i20, was last captured by the CCTV at the Khed-Shivapur toll plaza at around 2.30 am on Saturday morning after which their mobile phones also remained untraceable.
The four employees of an advertisement company at Kothrud, including a 28-year-old woman, had left here in a car on November 1 and were supposed to drop her at her Kolhapur residence on their way to Goa.
