Pune: The Maharashtra State Council of Examinations (MSCE) will declare the results for Maharashtra standard IV scholarship examinations on Saturday at 11 am. The results will be declared on the council's official website, www.ms-ce.org.
This year more than 11 lakh students appeared for the scholarship examination and 69.43% passed it. The schools will receive the results on June 20.
In a statement issued by the council, the two toppers from the rural area of the state are Vishnu Saurabh Yerudkar from Kolhapur district and Dipti Jitendra Devere from Dhule district. The duo got full marks (300) in the examination.
Four girls — Amruta Sanjay Patil (Dhule), Radhvi Madhukar Patil (Aurangabad), Namita Ramesh Patil (Dhule) and Neha Dipal Gujar (Dhule) — have bagged four top spots from urban areas. All four of them have scored 298 out of 300.
A total of 87,946 students appeared for this exam from Pune district and 58,653 have passed it. "Last year, the pass percentage in Pune was 69.43%. This year, it is 63.71%," the council officials added.
The scholarship will provide the students with Rs100 as allowance per month till they appear for standard VII scholarship exam after three years.
