Bhopal: About 15,000 posts are lying vacant in the Health Department as the state faces a severe shortage of staff. The Madhya Pradesh Karmachari Congress has made a demanded to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan that the vacancies be immediately be filled.
Presently, posts of about 4000 doctors, 4804 health workers, 2133 nurses, 1265 woman health workers, and several others are lying vacant in Madhya Pradesh.
The Madhya Pradesh Karmachari Congress says that no appointments are made in the health department even when employees retire or die. This is the primary reason for the lack of health services in the state.
