Global summit: Govt hunting land to woo investors

Indore: Ahead of the global investors' summit slated to be held in Indore in October, the district administration has started its search for a suitable land which could be offered to lure the investors for investment.
SDM Chandra Mauli Shukla said: "Reports regarding the availability of the land was sought from all SDOs. The Sanwer and Depalpur SDOs have given the report and other SDOs reports are awaited."
"Within couple of days we will be getting the list of availability of land from all the SDOs and then it will be compiled," he added.
In Indore, officials have started searching suitable land and are eying on the leased out nazul land of the Hope Textile Mill, which is lying unused for years after the closure of the mill.
Additional district magistrate, Alok Singh confirming the issue said that the demarcation of the land of the mill will be done soon.
The identification of the land is nearly completed at tehsildar level in Indore area. SDM Vijaynagar, Rajnish Kasera said that the tehsildars were asked to identify the land and give reports.
They will be giving reports pertaining to the availability of the land within couple of days.
In the light of the Tata Consultancy Services and Infosys coming to Indore, the possibilities of attracting investment in city have increased and the state government is eager to tap the potential, said sources.
Around 700 investors, including domestic and overseas, are likely to participate in the meet that will be organised at Labh Ganga Garden.
