Indore:India’s largest software services exporter Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (TCS) on Saturday said it will set up software development campus in Indore’s Super Corridor at a cost of Rs 500 crore. The function was billed as beginning of Indore's emergence of another  IT hub  in India.
Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan laid the foundation for TCS software development centre on Saturday. "We will provide all necessary infrastructure and facilities to the TCS for development of this campus. This will create lot of jobs for people of Madhya Pradesh and also generate revenue," said Chouhan.
Chouhan claimed that state's IT professionals working in other states have already started inquiring about completion of TCS Indore project.
TCS chief executive officer (CEO) N Chandrasekaran on the occasion said that the IT major having revenues of 11.6 billon dollars and presence in 50 countries, would establish eco-friendly campus in Indore.       
The campus will comprise software engineering blocks, training facilities, amphitheatre, and other facilities to offer a holistic environment to knowledge professionals, he said.
The park will incorporate green building concepts such as zero discharge, energy efficient systems, rain water harvesting systems and integrated building management systems, he added.
The campus would offer a range of solutions and services including BPO, application development, infrastructure development. It would showcase modern architecture and heritage of Madhya Pradesh as well with the theme Narmada river.
Kailash Vijayvargiya said after becoming hub for education and health, Indore is all set to become an IT hub of the country.
