Indore: A city youth on Thursday claimed that he created a world record by reciting 25 tongue-twisting sentences within a span of 53 seconds.
22-year-old Saurabh Jain of IPS Academy achieved the title by reciting 25 tongue-twisters of English language and 1 tongue-twister of bilingual (English Hindi) only in 53 seconds during an ongoing programme 'Miracle of One'. The previous record was of speaking 25 tongue-twisters in 1 minute.
Jain said that he was inspired by his friend who had made a world record. He searched all the details on internet and selected reciting fastest tongue-twisters. It took 10 months hard practice to get the enough speed and perfection in speaking more than 25 tongue-twisters, he added.
The details of Jain's achievement to make the record will be sent to the Golden Book of World Records, the India Book of Records and Limca Book of Records for approval.
So far, seven Indorians have proved their abilities in different fields and have presented their claims for the world records in an initiative of a local NGO.
