Indore:Panic gripped Pardeshipura locality after some unidentified miscreants went on a stabbing spree and injured two commuters over some unknown reason on Thursday morning.
The incident occurred at around 9.30 am. Deepak Gupta, a resident of MIG Colony was on his way to office when the accused persons stopped him on Kulkarni Bhatta Square.
The miscreant allegedly abused him and when Deepak protested, the miscreants allegedly stabbed him on his face.
The victim somehow managed to escape from the scene and reached Pardeshipura police station.
He informed the police that the some people were creating ruckus under the influence of some intoxicating substance.
Meanwhile, another victim of the stabbing spree identified as Hanskumar Khatik of Kulkarni Ka Bhatta area reached the police station and claimed having been stabbed by the same people.
A team of police soon cordoned off the area but to no avail as the troublemakers had already fled.
It was later learnt that stabbers had also injured some other persons of the same locality and threatened them with dire consequences if they reported the incident to the police.
A case was registered at Pardeshipura police station. The victims and some locals provided descriptions of the accused. The police have launched a search to arrest the miscreants.
