Indore: The city may soon get a world-class Greenfield railway station constructed on public-private partnership model.
If the officials are to be believed, the beauty of the railway station will be one of its kinds.
The Railway Board has asked the Western Railway to start work concerning it in close association with the Indore Development Authority (IDA).
An announcement in this regard was made by Western Railway in-charge general manager Kulbhushan and chief administration officer (construction) Subodh Kumar Jain in Mumbai on Monday.
Answering a question about the development with regard to the railway station by committee member Vinay Bakliwal and MP Sumitra Mahajan, Jain said that the IDA was already in talks with farmers for land required for the purpose.
He further said that the final possibility of the station would be considered after the process of land acquisition was complete.
The railway wants the new station to be connected with the Ratlam line.
