Indore: On Monday night, Sub-Inspector Ram Kishore Shivhare, posted at the Chandan Nagar police station, abducted a girl. The girl is a class 11 student and resident of Scheme No 71. With the help of two others, Shivhare took her to a room, where he made her MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) and then his accomplice dropped her home. On Tuesday morning, the trio blackmailed the girl.
As the girl knows the Ratlam MLA (Member of Legislative Assembly), she told him about the incident. The Ratlam MLA arrived in Indore and complained to the senior superintendent of police (SSP). The police set a trap and arrested three persons, including the sub-inspector.
The accused sub-inspector was suspended on Tuesday night.
The girl is a kin of Ratlam MLA Paras Saklecha. On Tuesday morning, she and Saklecha met SSP Manohar and lodged a complaint against Sub-Inspector Shivhare and two others. She accused that Shivhare and two others had kidnapped her and then made her MMS. She also alleged that they were blackmailing her.
SSP Manohar gave the investigating responsibility to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) (Crime Branch) Jitendra Singh.
DSP Singh sent Dipika Shinde, head of 'We Care For You', with the police team to the Gangwal bus stand, where two of the accused had asked the victim to meet them at 5 pm. The police arrested the duo immediately. The arrested duo have been identified as Sanjay, son of Ram Babu Thakur, resident of Rishi Vihar, and Vijay, son of Prem Narayan Sharma, resident of Sai Baba Nagar.
DSP Singh said that on Monday night, at around 9.30 pm, the girl was returning home with a youth on her scooty after dropping her relative somewhere and suddenly, Sub-Inspector Shivhare came out of nowhere.
He said that Shivhare scared the youth away and took her some place on the girl's scooty; the girl was the pillion rider. There were two others with Shivhare and the trio took her to a room in the Chandan Nagar area and made her MMS. Later, Sanjay dropped her home.
As of now, Sub-Inspector Shivhare has been taken into custody by the police.
SSP Manohar said that the police were collecting evidence and strict legal action would be taken against the three.
