Indore: Two students from a Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) school of the city have been selected for the Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youth Programme (JENESYS) wherein they will be sent to Japan to facilitate cultural exchange between the two countries.
Bhavika Garua and Sagar Binjola of Choithram School (North Campus) are two of the 250 students selected from across the country who will represent India in Japan this year.
Choithram School (North Campus) Principal, Sriniwas Rao said, "Our two students have been selected this year. Last year, one of our students was selected for JENESYS. All CBSE schools of the city were asked to send two entries for this programme. We are glad that both of our students have been selected".
The team of 250 students will be in Japan for 15 days where they will spread Indian culture & values and also develop friendship between the two nations, Rao said.
The school is yet to receive a personalised letter from the board about the further plan.
Students will be sent in two batches escorted with teachers. The first batch will be in Japan from November 18-25 and the second batch will be there from November 25- December 5.
This is the sixth year of JENESYS. Another two students of Carmel School (Bhopal) will be representing Madhya Pradesh in this International tour.
