Guwahati: An indefinite curfew was imposed again by the district administration of troubled Kokrajhar of Bodoland Territorial Area Districts (BTAD) on Thursday morning after suspected militants shot one person dead and attacked another.
To ensure that peace prevails in the district the Army, which was called in Wednesday night carried out flag marches in all the sensitive areas on Thursday morning.
The attacks on two people took place at Kokrajhar and Telipara. One Abul Kalam was stabbed and one Nirisan Basumatary was shot dead.
The Kokrajhar and Chirang districts had witnessed one of the worst communal clashes earlier this year which led to the killing of over hundred people.
