Srinagar: National Conference President Farooq Abdullah’s brother Sheikh Mustafa Kamal’s remarks that India is an ‘enemy’ has angered the J&K Chief Minister and his nephew Omar Abdullah. A day after his ‘controversial’ remarks, Omar Abdullah expressed his angst on Twitter. Omar wrote, “Funny thing is I don’t need anyone to make things for me when I have relatives to do it for me. They say never work with animals & children. I think it’s safe to add relatives to that list as well.”
Kamal, who is additional general secretary of the ruling National Conference, on Sunday said the Government of India is an “enemy of the state”. He also accused troops of disturbing the peace in Jammu and Kashmir.
PDP has slammed the National Conference and Mustafa Kamal for the remark. However, Kamal has reacted and said that his comments have been 'misinterpreted'.
