Jaipur: BJP MLA from Khinvsar in Nagaur district, Hanuman Beniwal has been suspended from legislative party on Sunday.
The final decision on his suspension was taken in the BJP legislative party meeting held at Vidhan Sabha on the eve of assembly session.
Earlier, Beniwal was suspended from party after he made remarks against state BJP leaders, including former CM Vasundhara Raje and former minister Rajendra Singh Rathore.
Even after suspension, Beniwal will be member of legislative party and party whip will be applicable on him. During the session, he will sit with BJP MLAs but won’t be able to attend meetings of BJP legislative party. Also, legislative party will not propose his name for speaking or taking part in discussion during the Assembly session.
Beniwal, however, said he will stand by allegations made by him against party leaders. During the session, he would raise issue of corrupt politicians irrespective of party. He claimed he would raise Dara Singh encounter case till former minister Rathore is not arrested. On his suspension, he said BJP will have to face the consequences.
Beniwal had hit the headlines after he accused Vasundhara Raje of being “corrupt” and asked chief minister Ashok Gehlot to take action against her at a function at Maharani Girls College in December.
