Jaipur: The students of Rajasthan have proved their mettle again. They came out with flying colours in All India Company Secretary Exams (Dec 2012). The result was declared on Monday by Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
A total of 30 students (including foundation, executive and professional courses) from state made it to merit list of first 25 rankers in India. However, the pass percentage in professional programme of Jaipur chapter is very low, ie just 4%.
Of the 30 students in merit list, five of state topped in professional course. Madhav Agarwal of Bhilwara has secured 12th rank in India with 477 out of 800 marks in the final exam while Tosit Agarwal of Jaipur has ranked 14th with 474 marks.
“I did my schooling from various schools, as my father had a number of transfers. I will continue my studies. Later, I will look for a good job. My parents are happy with my performance,” said Tosit Agarwal.
Two students from Jodhpur made it to merit list. Tushar Singhvi ranked 16th while Anurag Mehta secured 23rd rank. Similarly, Nandini Sharma of Jaipur ranked 24th in CS final exam.
Thirteen students from state made it to merit list of first 25 students in foundation course. Prachi Mittal from Jaipur ranked 3rd with 293 marks out of 400 while Akansha Nijawan of Udaipur managed 7th rank in India.
In executive programme, 12 students secured a place in merit list. Amit Nolakha of Bhilwara topped the all-India merit list with 438 marks. Likewise, Himani Jain ranked 3rd and Abhijeet Kothari 7th from Jaipur.
The pass percentage of professional programme of Jaipur chapter remained low. Of 1,966 students who appeared in final exam, only 63 passed. The pass percentage remained a mere 3.2%.
