Jaipur: The organisers of the Ambuja Jaipur Marathon cut cake to celebrate the city's birthday on Sunday.
The event was attended by Anshuman Singh, former governor of Rajasthan, Culture President Pandit Suresh Mishra, Jaipur mayor Jyoti Kndelwal, Rajasthan Foundation vice president Rajeev Arora and Ambuja Cement Zonal Head Sushil Agarwal.
The cake featured Charminar, Choti chaupar, Badi chaupar and Jantar Mantar.
Statue Circle decorated with pink balloons. Various boards were set up giving details of the of the city.
On this occasion, the former governor Anshuman Singh congratulated Jaipurites and reiterated that all citizens must love their city. Insisting that he was proud to be associated with the city, Singh called upon the people not to leave any opportunity to show love to their city.
Meanwhile, Suresh Mishra of the Ambuja Jaipur Marathon said that the purpose of the event was to showcase his team's love for Jaipur. He asked each Jaipurites to to come forward and make it clean and beautiful.
