Ajmer: Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Clean India campaign, a newly married NRI couple of Ajmer did not go on their honeymoon and initiated the cleaning of the city instead. After performing the marriage rituals, they went on to sweep the Mahavir Circle.
Other than the bride and groom, other NRIs dressed in the Arab outfits also accompanied them. They said that if they can keep their homes clean then why not the city. Everyone needs to step up in order to keep the city clean.
Residents of Ajmer Anil Rizwani and Meher actually work in Dubai and decided to participate in the Clean India campaign after getting married. Several other NRI families also participated in the campaign.
Watching these people sweeping the roads, the localites also started to connect with them and picked up the broom. With their initiate, the area was cleaned up soon and their pictures were shared on social media. Everyone initiated it and circulated the video and pictures on Facebook and WhatsApp.
Rizwani told that he has travelled to many countries and every country pays special attention towards cleanliness. The beauty of Dubai can be seen in its cleanliness. No one throws garbage on streets and dustbins are installed at every corner, he said.
