Concerns about Sundari's health have always been the talking point in the reserve. Despite of reaching maturity, the tigress failed to become a mother. Forest Minister Bina Kak then ordered the forest officials to remove the radio collar from the tigress. The result, that followed, was startling. Sundari was seen around with two male tigers simultaneously.

The forest officials said that Sundari was the first tigress to be spotted with two different male tigers. It was initially feared that the male tigers would have killed the cubs to force her to mate with either of them.
