Jaipur: The BJP leaders considered as opponents of state party president Vasundhara Raje now seem to be falling along the party lines especially after Raje was given charge of the state.
On Friday, BJP leader Kailash Meghwal met Raje at party headquarter in presence of Gulab Chand Kataria while a day before Ramdas Agarwal, who had opposed Raje’s elevation as state president, also held a meeting with her and held detailed discussions.
The leaders maintained that now that Raje has taken over as state president there are no issues left and it is their duty to strengthen the party and Raje.
“Raje is our leader and she will be the next CM. Elections are round the corner and we have to strengthen the hands of Raje and the party in the state. Like any other party worker I met her and our party stands united and we are ready to face the electoral battle,” said Meghwal, BJP leader.
Sources informed that in the day Dausa MP Kirori Lal Meena also telephoned Meghwal. Meena is trying to rope in Meghwal in his third front.
Party insiders are of the view that Raje is now in complete control of all the party affairs and no leader will now like to invite any controversy.
Besides it will be Raje who will be giving the tickets in this election. However, deputy leader of Opposition Ghanshyam Tiwari on Friday skipped the preceding of the Assembly. “I skipped the Assembly to attend the funeral of a known. From Monday I will come regularly,” said Tiwari.
