Sikar: India’s famous industrialist and Chairman of Bajaj Auto Limited Rahul Bajaj celebrates his 74th birthday today. When he went to his native village Kashikabas two years ago in 2011, the women of the village gave him a warm welcome. Rahul Bajaj was overwhelmed by the welcome.
There was a time when the entire nation had one chorus of ‘Hamara Bajaj’. During liberalization, Rahul Bajaj identified the possibilities in the two-wheeler market and entered the bike segment. He signed a deal with Japan’s Kawasaki after which there were Kawasaki Bajaj bikes in the Indian market. In 2011, Rahul Bajaj’ son Rajiv Bajaj made another big decision of launching their bike - Bajaj Pulsar. Today, they are the fourth largest bike manufacturing company in the world.
While, father Rahul Bajaj is the man who made Bajaj scooters part of everyone’s daily life, son Rajiv Bajaj did the same for bikes.
