New Delhi: Crosley-Corocran was shocked to find out that an image of her nursing 8-month-old baby was banned from social networking website, Facebook, as they contained nudity.

The photo posted along with the comment- "And now, you've seen everything: Jolene swiped bacon off my plate and tried to nurse and eat at the same time. When I got bit, I told her she had to choose. She chose bacon. :)" fetched 1,500 likes and 40 shares on Facebook.

However, one Facebook user failed to see the lighter side of the story. The user commented that these are the kids that end up growing up to be sex offenders.

The Corcoran pasted the screenshot of the comment on her blog. The miffed commenter reported the image Corocran to Facebook. To the dismay of CoroCran, the social networking website subsequently banned the image for its nudity and banned Corocran from Facebook for three days.

Facebook has a strict policy against any form of nudity. Though the images were not in bad taste, but they did violate FB nudity policy.

In the past as well, another Facebook user was banned from the website for posting over 200 images of her breastfeeding her children. Kwasnica organised a protest at Facebook's headquarters. Over 60 moms and babies gathered in Menlo Park to convince Facebook employees that breastfeeding photos are not "obscene."

The Facebook defended its right to ban the image. It said that breastfeeding is natural and important. However, it is important for Facebook to act against images which fully exposes breasts, as they violate Facebook's terms and conditions.
