New Delhi: The legendary Manchester United manager, Alex Ferguson, has been pouring accolades for his former club player and one of the biggest football star Cristiano Ronaldo. The Real Madrid striker has also been branded as ‘unbuyable’ by Ferguson.
The Red Devils manager insists that the 800 million pound Real Madrid star has no weaknesses which make him highly sought after footballer by other clubs across the globe.
Alex Ferguson revealed that the Portuguese star always wanted to play for Real Madrid as it was his boyhood dream. He also said that he may not stay there forever and there’s every chance that he might leave the Spanish club.
He lauded Ronaldo by calling him an unbelievable player and one of the best ever in the world of football. He also revealed that during his stay at Manchester United, the club had no problems with Ronaldo.
Ferguson said that while Lionel Messi has captured the Ballon d’Or, the world player of the year award for the past three years, if Real Madrid would have won the Champions League in recent years, then Ronaldo would have been the world player of the year.
He said that Barcelona have had more success than Real Madrid as they have won the Champions League which matters for this award. If Real Madrid would have won the Champions League in recent years, then Cristiano Ronaldo would have been the world player of the year, he added.
He believes that Cristiano Ronaldo has gone up yet another level after leaving Manchester United. Ronaldo’s goal scoring record is becoming quite amazing, he added.
