Carson: David Beckham ended his stint with Major League Soccer on a winning note as LA Galaxy trampled Houston Dynamo 3-1 in the MLS Cup final on Saturday.
LA came from behind after Calen Carr gave Houston Dynamo the 1-0 lead a minute before the break. But the Galaxy bounced back and took command of the game in the second half.
Omar Gonzalez slotted a headed to level the score and just five minutes later Landon Donovan converted a penalty to give the Galaxy the lead.
Striker Robbie Keane took LA to 3-1 when he slot home the penalty awarded to him as the Houston keeper Tally Hall tried to bring him down.
Former England captain received an standing ovation from the crowd when he was substituted in the last minute of the game. This was Beckham's last appearance for the Galaxy after spending six seasons with the club.
This was Galaxy's fourth MLS title.
