Modi bats for Ahmadabad as the new IPL team

New Delhi: Gujarat CM, Narendra modi is taken a personal interest to ensure that new IPL team is from Ahmadabad, according to the BCCI sources.
Modi wants either the Adani Group or Anil Dhiru Bhai Ambani to buy the news IPL team. Sources indicate that Videocon and ADAG are also looking to buy the Ahmadabad team.
BCCI has decided to float tender of new IPL team in place Deccan Chargers. IPL governing body has selected the name of ten cities for the new IPL team- Ahmadabad, Vishakhapatnam, Dharamshala, Indore, Jamshedpur, Nagpur, Cuttack, Kanpur, Rajkot, and Ranchi. One of the cities would be selected to be a part of IPL season six.
The new team would be fixed at a base price of 300 crores for five years (60 crores a year). The new team would get equal share of revenue like other teams.
Existing Deccan Chargers players would be able to play in the new team.
Interestingly, the base of the two IPL teams created in 2010 was 1,000 crores.
